Parking and smart mobility services provider APCOA has acquired UK Parking Patrol (UKPP), a parking enforcement company that has operated in the UK for more than 15 years. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
UKPP will continue as a stand-alone business within APCOA UK, keeping its identity, team and client relationships. It serves clients across industries including airports, events and retail, and APCOA says service continuity for those clients is a priority.
Transition arrangements
UKPP managing director Steve Cheetham will remain involved as an associate during the transition, working with both teams on a handover over the coming months.
“UKPP has built a strong business over the past 15 years, underpinned by high-quality service and trusted client relationships,” says Kim Challis, regional managing director of APCOA UK & Ireland. “Bringing UKPP and APCOA together combines those strengths with APCOA’s scale, operational reach, parking management and ANPR technology capabilities. We remain focused on a seamless transition with the existing team to ensure continuity for UKPP’s day-to-day service and client contacts.”

UKPP’s services
UKPP provides professional parking enforcement to retail parks, arenas, airports, commercial premises and other private parking facilities across the UK. APCOA says these services complement its parking management and technology offer, which includes staffed parking enforcement, car park management and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) systems.
According to Cheetham, “We have built UKPP on the pillars of service, quality and strong client relationships. Joining APCOA is a natural next step for the business, giving our team access to broader technology, expertise and resources to serve our clients, while creating new opportunities for UKPP’s continued development.”
