ViaPlus, the Plano, Texas-based tolling subsidiary of Vinci Highways, has secured two contracts to install and operate multi-lane free-flow (MLFF) toll systems at locations on the Delhi–Jaipur Expressway and the Delhi-Faridabad Skyway in northern India.
Both contracts are awarded through Indian banks under the authority of the India Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL).
Delhi–Jaipur Expressway
The first contract covers installation and operation of free-flow technology at the Daulatpura toll plaza on the Delhi–Jaipur Expressway. The 242km, six-lane road links the National Capital Territory of Delhi with Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan, handling ten million vehicles annually.
Delhi-Faridabad Skyway
The second contract covers the elevated Delhi-Faridabad Skyway at Badarpur, in New Delhi — described as one of northern India’s busiest corridors, serving hundreds of thousands of daily commuters.
Technology deployed
At both sites, ViaPlus will deliver its Alpha back-office platform and implement its Sightline image review technology to process licence plate transactions for vehicles not equipped with FASTag — India’s existing radio-frequency identification (RFID)-based electronic toll collection standard. Roadside systems will be integrated in collaboration with Sidra Systems.
In 2025, the Alpha platform processed over 2.7 billion electronic toll collection (ETC) transactions across India, representing 40% of all toll transactions nationwide. ViaPlus says it facilitates more than 4.2 billion mobility transactions globally each year.
The awards follow an established pattern of growth for ViaPlus in India, where the country is pushing to replace barrier-based toll plazas with barrier-free, free-flow infrastructure across its national highway network.
Vinci Highways operates road concessions across more than 3,360km of network in 15 countries.
