The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) is now accepting proposals for the ITS4US Deployment Accelerator, a programme that will provide seed funding for up to five sites.
The Broad Agency Announcement for the programme is live. Selected sites will rapidly replicate the ITS4US Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency’s Health Connector project, which connects transportation to healthcare appointments.
Awardees will join a cohort of deployers that receive technical assistance and support. Each site is expected to deploy its solution within its community within 12 months.
Proposed teams must be multi-disciplinary and include a mobility service operator or provider, a software integrator, and a public or private healthcare partner.
The announcement was issued by the ITS Joint Program Office (JPO) and is available through a funding opportunity notice linked from the USDOT announcement.
