Close to 30,000 professionals from 136 countries attended Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 at RAI Amsterdam, as the smart mobility sector gathered from 10 to 13 March to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest developments in traffic management, road safety and sustainable infrastructure.
Opening discussions centred on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and automation in mobility, with debate around autonomous driving deployment, public trust and the role of government-industry collaboration. A recurring theme across sessions was the industry’s shift from pilot programmes to scalable, real-world deployment of connected and autonomous mobility technologies.

Awards recognise innovation across the mobility spectrum
The Intertraffic Awards 2026 recognised solutions across sustainability, data-driven traffic management and user experience:
- Green Globe Award (environmental sustainability): MB Air by HR Groep Streetcare — described as the world’s first CE-certified compressed-air bicycle parking-lift system
- Inspiration Award: Deltabloc TAM Technology by Deltabloc International — a fibre optic sensing platform capable of monitoring traffic across 50 kilometres of road in real time
- User Experience Award: TLEX Interchange by Monotch — a cloud-native engine for real-time, low-latency mobility data exchange
- ITSUP Startup Award: Luxene — for its laser-driven, fibre-optic road-marking system
- Special Jury Mention: NavTac Temporary Tactile Guidance Films by Brite-Line
Exhibitor and visitor response
Exhibitor feedback was positive. “We were overwhelmed by the strong interest in our LiDAR-based sensing platform for intelligent traffic management,” said Laurentiu Maniu of Amorph Systems GmbH. “We used the trade fair to mark our entry into the traffic industry.”
“At Intertraffic Amsterdam we really meet our global customer base to introduce them to our innovations and system competence,” added Richard Neumann of Swarco AG. “The perfect place to also thank our stakeholders for their continued trust in us.”

Visitor satisfaction was equally strong — 83% rated the event eight out of 10 or higher, and 86% said they intend to return in 2028. The on-the-spot reservation of 70% of available floor space for the next edition also points to strong exhibitor confidence.
“A big thank you to our exhibitors, speakers and visitors who made Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026 such a success,” said Joyce de Winter, director Intertraffic at RAI Amsterdam. “Our exhibitors don’t just participate, they co-create the event, bringing months of preparation, innovation and global collaboration to the show floor. At the same time, our speakers ensured a high-impact content programme, turning ambition into real-world insight.”
The next edition of Intertraffic Amsterdam is scheduled for 7–10 March 2028.
