Cohda Wireless has confirmed that its connected vehicle and intelligent transportation systems products supplied into the United States comply with Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements for federally funded projects.
The announcement is significant for agencies and integrators delivering projects supported by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), where domestic sourcing and manufacturing are mandatory.
The company’s MK6 Road-Side Units and MK6 On-Board Units are produced using Danlaw’s US-based manufacturing operations in Novi, Michigan. By relying on domestic production, Cohda Wireless can align its hardware with federal compliance requirements while maintaining consistent quality and supply for large-scale deployments.
Cohda Wireless said the milestone underlines its focus on supporting US transportation infrastructure programs and providing customers with confidence that its technology can be deployed on federally funded initiatives without additional compliance risk. The company emphasized that close coordination between product development and manufacturing has been central to meeting BABA obligations.
Cohda Wireless operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Danlaw, a US-headquartered company also based in Novi. This relationship enables tighter integration between engineering, production, and regulatory requirements, while reinforcing a long-term commitment to the US market.
Danlaw’s Michigan facility offers scalable manufacturing and quality assurance for Cohda Wireless V2X and connected vehicle solutions. The site includes a fully integrated, in-house surface mount technology manufacturing line, supporting high-volume electronic assembly with strong process control, traceability, and reliability for nationwide intelligent infrastructure deployments.
