Incinity will make Invipo Assistant, an AI-powered conversational tool that lets traffic operators question traffic and city data in natural language, the centrepiece of its presentation at Smart City Expo in Barcelona from 3-5 November 2026.
The company will focus on the assistant’s practical applications in traffic operations, data analysis and decision support, and will be exhibiting at Fira Barcelona, Pavilion 2, Street C, Stand 181.
First introduced at Intertraffic 2026 in Amsterdam, Invipo Assistant is built into Invipo, Incinity’s platform for smart cities and intelligent transport systems (ITS). Ahead of the Barcelona show, Incinity has detailed how the assistant can use whatever an operator is currently viewing as context for a question, removing the need to search manually across different parts of the system.
“Our long-term goal is to simplify working with complex data and make it more accessible to users,” says Lukáš Duffek, chief executive of Incinity. “This new tool helps operators interact with information in a more natural and efficient way, while fully preserving their role in traffic management.”

Using the operator’s current view as context
Designed for operators, technicians, designers and decision makers, Invipo Assistant supports multilingual interaction and allows users to ask questions, assign tasks and request outputs. It works alongside Invipo’s existing interface, adding a conversational way to interact with the technologies and data connected through the platform.
A key capability is the assistant’s ability to use the content already displayed in Invipo as context for a conversation. This can include a map, a key performance indicator (KPI) dashboard, a technology log, an event list or a history of operator activities, meaning users do not have to describe the relevant view from scratch before asking a question.
An operator looking at a city-centre map, for example, can ask what has happened at that location in the last hour. On a KPI dashboard, the question might concern which of the displayed indicators require attention. In both cases, the assistant interprets the request using the information the user is already working with.

From traffic overviews to shift handovers
For a traffic overview, an operator can ask about current conditions in the city centre and receive a summary covering traffic flow, incidents, delays and parking availability, helping them understand the situation before deciding where to investigate further.
Shift handovers are another application. An incoming team can ask for a summary of changes since the previous shift to review recent developments. Technicians examining a technology log or event list can similarly request a summary of unusual events in the current view.
Beyond day-to-day operations, the assistant can help users explore relationships in the data and the potential impacts of traffic management changes, supporting the preparation and assessment of management decisions.
Charts, tables, reports and camera footage
Invipo Assistant varies its output according to the task. A request to examine a trend can produce a chart, while a request to compare data can produce a table and a broader overview can take the form of a report. When a user asks about an event at a specific location, the response can include the relevant data or camera footage.
Where applicable, a response can also be applied directly to what the user is working on in Invipo, connecting the conversation to the next step in the operator’s workflow.
Incinity has previously received the Intertraffic Innovation Award in Amsterdam and the Smart City Service Award in Seoul.
