Infrastructure engineering software company Bentley Systems has acquired Talon Aerolytics and the technology assets of Pointivo, with both deals closing in December 2025.
The acquisitions expand Bentley’s asset analytics portfolio, which uses digital twins and artificial intelligence to help infrastructure operators monitor and maintain assets. The company’s existing asset analytics products include OpenTower iQ for telecommunication towers and Blyncsy for road networks.
Talon provides solutions for site surveys, inspections, and asset digitization for wireless telecom, broadband, and electric utilities. The platform combines workflow automation, digital twins, and AI for recurring inspections and asset condition monitoring.
“Over the past decade, Talon has established itself as a trusted intelligent collaboration platform for managing asset lifecycles and analyzing infrastructure with our AI-enabled software,” says Rod Dir, chief executive officer of Talon. “By joining Bentley Systems, we are poised to expand our global reach and enhance asset resilience through the integration of Bentley’s advanced engineering simulation capabilities.”
Klaus Metnitzer, head of deploy execution excellence and serviceability for North America at Nokia, says his company has worked with Talon on asset inspection and data intelligence. The integration with Bentley will support infrastructure management workflows spanning towers to distribution poles, he adds.
Pointivo’s technologies include intellectual property and technical expertise in drone data processing, AI-powered damage detection, and geolocation capabilities. Jacob Garland, chief technology officer at Pointivo, says the company’s patented technology “was built to turn vast volumes of unstructured visual data into precise, trustworthy insights.”
James Lee, chief operating officer at Bentley Systems, describes the acquisitions as adding to the company’s asset analytics offering. Talon has demonstrated profitable growth and has a pipeline of enterprise contracts, he notes.
Werner Andre, chief financial officer at Bentley Systems, says the acquisitions reflect the company’s capital allocation focus on asset analytics. Bentley’s asset analytics business has a revenue run rate of approximately $50 million and is targeting double-digit growth in annual recurring revenue, subscription revenues, and cash flows.
Dechert LLP served as legal advisor to Bentley. Financial terms were not disclosed.
