The Traffic Group has announced that Wes Guckert has assumed the role of chairman and CEO while Anthony Guckert has stepped into the position of president.

As president, he will oversee key functions, including budget and expense management, oversight of administrative staff, personnel reviews, and vendor negotiations.

Anthony Guckert has played a pivotal role in the company’s success, with a career spanning 30 years at The Traffic Group — from an entry-level position gathering traffic data to now leading the company as President. Throughout his tenure, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s Traffic Data Collection Services Division, where he has worked alongside a dedicated team of talented project managers, field supervisors, technicians, and contractors to deliver cutting-edge solutions to both public and private sector clients across the US.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Anthony stays closely connected to traffic data collection. His hands-on approach shines as he actively tests cutting-edge equipment and refines innovative methods for traffic counting. This unwavering dedication reflects his deep expertise and ensures that The Traffic Group remains an industry trailblazer, setting new benchmarks in traffic data analysis and collection.

“The Traffic Group has an incredible team and a strong foundation for future success with Anthony as Presfident,” says Wes Guckert, chairman and CEO of The Traffic Group. “I am excited to continue working alongside Anthony as we drive the company forward in this new chapter.”

With more than 50 years of industry experience, Wes Guckert will lead the company’s overall vision, strategy, and long-term growth initiatives, while continuing to strengthen The Traffic Group’s industry leadership. As Chairman and CEO, he will focus on corporate strategy, stakeholder relations, and driving innovation across all business units, as well as continuing to play a pivotal role in community and charitable work.

“As we move into this next phase here at The Traffic Group, I am thrilled to step into the role of President and look forward to working closely with our teams, partners, and customers to build on our momentum and create new opportunities for growth,” says Anthony Guckert, President, The Traffic Group. “I have watched Wes work tirelessly since founding the company 40 years ago – striving to continuously make it better. I am confident we will make him proud as we carry his legacy forward.”

Operating as a Veteran-Owned Small Business since the firm launched in 1985, The Traffic Group has provided traffic engineering and transportation planning, data collection, parking demand and operation services throughout the United States. The Traffic Group has provided services on a wide variety of Federal, state, and local government projects, including Fort Meade, the Mark Center, the National Guard Headquarters, the Pentagon, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
