Autonomous in a dust storm


Drivers must navigate all sorts of conditions and autonomous vehicles, if they’re going to be road-legal, will need to do likewise. When a dust storm appeared in Arizona, Waymo took the opportunity to see how its systems would cope. Watch the video to see how it detects and considers obstacles despite the limited visibility.
