VIDEO: Technologically advanced Neuron e-scooters to begin trial in Newcastle, UK

0

Neuron is to begin its second e-scooter trial in the UK and in the City of Newcastle tomorrow (February 16, 2021). The service will use geofencing technology to control where they are ridden and parked, and how fast they can travel in certain areas by creating slow-zones, no-ride zones and no-parking zones. Each e-scooter will be fitted with a unique license plate for easy identification and to promote responsible use. They also feature voice guidance, an app-released safety helmet, topple detection and an ’emergency call’ button. Neuron will offer free passes for NHS and Emergency Services staff, and free rides to commuters between 5am to 9 am, for the first three months of the trial.
