How Michigan DOT is using remote controlled boats for bridge inspections


Michigan DOT is leading the way with a new way to manage its assets – performing bridge inspections using a remote controlled boat known as EMILY (EMergency Integrated LanYard). The boat is used for the inspection of bridge scour and the performance of the bridge. You can find out more in our full report.
