MAV Systems has announced the launch of the MAV AiQ Advanced ANPR Camera. Designed with adaptability and performance in mind, the MAV AiQ introduces new levels of customisation, empowering system developers to meet the demands of diverse industries and regions.

Building on the foundation of its popular IQ cameras, the MAV AiQ expands the possibilities by offering a tailored approach to solution development. With advanced capabilities, this new technology is engineered to transform data capture, analysis, and system outcomes.

The MAV AiQ provides powerful core features to meet unique systems requirements but also offers array of additional functionalities designed to address specific operational needs, including:

  • Panoramic camera for broader situational awareness.
  • GhostPlate technology to improve identification of manipulated plates.
  • Automated system diagnostics to optimize performance.
  • Advanced pedestrian and traffic data capture to enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Enhanced video-based analytics for more refined insights.
  • Enforcement-specific tools for detecting moving traffic violations.
  • Secure data handling powered by TPM hardware encryption.
  • Precision GPS module for highly accurate geolocation tracking.
  • AI-Accurate enhancement that improves performance in all systems by up to 30%.

Personalised Solutions for Every Sector

MAV recognises that each application is unique. With the MAV AiQ, partners can select the features most relevant to their specific objectives, creating a system that perfectly aligns with project goals. This customised approach benefits a wide range of industries, including law enforcement, traffic management, parking systems, and urban infrastructure development.

For government and enforcement agencies, tools such as the panoramic context camera, precision GPS, and TPM chip deliver unparalleled accuracy, security, and evidence reliability.

In traffic enforcement and intelligent transportation systems (ITS), enhanced survey functions, video analysis, and traffic violation detection provide deeper operational insights and broader application possibilities.

Parking operators benefit from AI-driven optimisation, which significantly improves the accuracy of plate recognition systems, boosting overall system efficiency and revenue return.

“This latest evolution of our ANPR technology represents a major step forward for the industry.” says Andy Humphries, managing director of MAV Systems. “We’ve harnessed AI and combined cutting-edge data capture capabilities to deliver an unprecedented level of accuracy, providing businesses and organisations with deeper, real-time insights into both vehicle and pedestrian movement.

“By integrating advanced analytics and customisable features, we’re addressing the growing demand for smarter, more adaptive solutions across multiple sectors – whether it’s enhancing traffic flow management, improving security or refining retail footfall analysis. This isn’t just about better data; it’s about empowering our customers to make faster, more informed decisions that drive efficiency and safety. We’re proud to be leading the way in transforming how ANPR technology is used to shape smarter environments.”

By integrating the customisable features of the MAV AiQ with the core feature set which includes detection of obscured, fake, and altered plates, as well as worldwide plate compatibility and advanced tracking – MAV offers a versatile toolkit for a wide array of applications.
