Tell us more about the atmosphere surrounding the Umovity Mobility Tech Update event

“It is really exciting! The Umovity Mobility Tech Update is a highlight for us and our community. Our customers do a heroic job every day in improving mobility for humanity and it is our purpose to empower them with the best technology to do so. So, we’re all incredibly enthusiastic to share the latest developments, especially considering the numerous cross-team collaborations and product integrations that have yielded significant results over the past 12 months.”

What can users expect at this year’s update?

“The integrated Mobility Tech Suite will be taking center stage. Our users will be delighted with a plethora of new features and functionalities across all our business areas – from modeling and planning with our flagship products PTV Visum and Vissim, to management and prediction, with our SaaS offering such as Econolite’s Centracs Mobility or PTV Flows, to the latest developments in our onsite traffic infrastructure hardware products ranging from cabinets to controllers.

“This holistic view on tech and data-driven mobility and the seamless interoperability between PTV and Econolite products will be a key focus. Take, for example, the recent integration of Econolite’s Controller software EOS into PTV Vissim or the connectivity between Centracs Mobility and Flows. These developments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to streamlining workflows, creating greater efficiency.

“But the Umovity Mobility Tech Update delves deeper, showcasing cutting-edge innovations like artificial intelligence (AI) and dynamic multimodal network management.”

“Our modeling and prediction software has long benefited from the power of machine learning and big data. We’re constantly pushing the boundaries of these technologies to unlock new possibilities”

Tell us more about AI’s use in traffic management

“Our modeling and prediction software has long benefited from the power of machine learning and big data. We’re constantly pushing the boundaries of these technologies to unlock new possibilities. For example, in reconstructing the geographical distribution of travel demand, or recognizing the mode of transport with artificial intelligence.
