TSMO AWARD-WINNER VIDEO: PennDOT’s real-time incident and congestion info system

Pennsylvania DOT’s Crash Reporting System (CRS) and Road Condition Reporting System (RCRS) has won a top award in the USA’s National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) Awards 2021. The system is enabled with a traffic speed probe data from INRIX, and crowd sourced incident data from Waze to help make TSMO decisions. NOCoE has published a full case study.

Now in its third year, the national contest represents the latest TSMO projects and programs that are increasing the efficiency of America’s existing infrastructure to address air quality and improve the safety and mobility of the traveling public.
