Intuicom releases version 4.0 of its BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software

Many agencies and municipalities across the USA have discovered that installing a high-speed fiber-optic broadband internet protocol (IP) network is not a viable option for connecting traffic control equipment to their Traffic Management Centers (TMCs), due to budgetary or topographical reasons. New management software is now available for those agencies choosing to replace legacy copper wiring with broadband wireless technology.

Broadband wireless communication has continually demonstrated itself to be a cost-effective medium for transmitting bandwidth-intense data from traffic control equipment back to TMCs. To speed up the deployment and day-to-day management of wireless systems Intuicom Incorporated, a leading supplier of wireless systems to the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) market, has released version 4.0 of its BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software. This latest iteration of Intuicom’s flagship enterprise management platform provides a unified code base, consisting of a no-cost ‘Field Version’, and the full-featured ‘Enterprise Version’ of BroadBandPro Management Software.

Allowing users to automatically ‘discover’, configure, optimize, and secure their wireless communication networks, BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software has long been recognized for the simplicity of its design, and how that translates to ease of use and functionality unique to the product. Drag-and-drop device configuration, auto-discovery of assets on a network, real-time bi-directional network link data, and a performance dashboard that intuitively communicates network performance parameters, including ping latency, signal-to-noise ratio, and Tx/Rx CCQ, are just of few of the advanced features inherent in the new version of BroadBandPro. Intuicom is confident that the new upgrades, coupled with industry-leading security functionality and enhancements, will make the BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software the system of choice for traffic administrators across the USA.

“Installers can download and use the Field Version of BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software, at no cost, to quickly and easily configure and deploy their Intuicom wireless solutions,” explained Dan Paladino, director of sales and business development at Intuicom. “Traffic administrators can at the same time view the advanced functionality and capability of BroadBandPro software and easily upgrade, on the fly, to the Enterprise Version for the ultimate in convenience and control. We have made the transition seamless and easy.”

Kevin Hanson, territory manager for Western Systems Inc, an authorized Intuicom distributor, commented, “The alarm functionality that BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software brings is more than revolutionary. It has the ability to notify a technician, by text or email, that there is a failure in the field. A lot of times they will get the notice from the software before Dispatch even knows there’s a problem. That capability is critical, because that alone improves their response time.”

Tom Foley, president and CEO of Intuicom, noted, “Our success is based on our commitment to delivering advanced technology that is easy to deploy, manage, and secure. BroadBandPro Enterprise Management Software version 4.0 brings a new level of connectivity and manageability to agencies and municipalities operating under a mandate of doing more with less, without compromising the security of their network.”
