All Traffic Solutions launches TrafficBridge universal connector to its TraffiCloud platform

All Traffic Solutions, one of the leaders in cloud-based traffic management systems for law enforcement, intelligent transportation and smart cities, has launched TrafficBridge, a customizable cellular gateway that allows connectivity and manufacturer-neutral integration of traffic devices and sensors to the company’s TraffiCloud platform.

The new TrafficBridge device unifies existing traffic infrastructure by turning equipment into ‘smart’ connected devices that work together in TraffiCloud, All Traffic’s patented Internet of Things-enabled (IoT) cloud-based traffic management ecosystem. TrafficBridge makes it possible for cities, municipalities, communities and transportation organizations to now build and operate their integrated traffic environment in one place, for total traffic management, both today and into the future. Powered by a small box attached to each piece of traffic equipment, TrafficBridge allows users to seamlessly manage all their devices and data in TraffiCloud, regardless of manufacturer, from any internet-ready device. TrafficBridge-managed devices connected to TraffiCloud deliver a complete picture of any traffic program, as well as fast retrieval of data analytics for efficient prioritization, more informed decision-making, faster program execution, and the most precise measurement.

Using the TrafficBridge to connect to the TraffiCloud platform provides agencies with:

• Remote management, data analytics and conditional messaging for any sensor, data set or outbound messaging vehicle;

• Reduction of the time and complexity associated with managing existing devices;

• Consolidation of traffic data onto a single easy-to-use platform that can be managed from one interface;

• Creation of a holistic view of an entire traffic management system, accessible via one intuitive interface from any internet-enabled device.

“Until now, agencies, municipalities and organizations that manage traffic safety have been limited in their ability to connect their devices and data,” explained All Traffic’s CEO, Jim Weaver. “By delivering vendor-agnostic connectivity to our TraffiCloud traffic management ecosystem with TrafficBridge, organizations are no longer locked into specific hardware and can maximize their TraffiCloud investment.”

Andy Souders, All Traffic’s CTO and vice president of engineering, added, “TrafficBridge is an open, extensible, flexible platform that is fully scalable. TrafficBridge gives teams simple yet powerful tools that allow them to manage their traffic programs remotely from any internet connection, just like in organizations 10 times their size. As an innovator in cloud-based traffic management solutions, we have fully leveraged the Internet of Things to change the way organizations everywhere manage their traffic programs for the future.”
