Stalker Radar to launch three new products at Intertraffic Amsterdam

One of the USA’s leading manufacturers and supplier of radar- and lidar-based traffic enforcement equipment, Stalker Radar, will be introducing three major new products for the European market at the 2018 Intertraffic Amsterdam show in the Netherlands on March 20-23.

Based in Texas, Stalker says its radar speed enforcement products are used by more state agencies across the USA than all other radar manufacturers combined. At Europe’s leading trade event for the traffic technology industry, Stalker will be launching its new Phodar, LidarCam II, and the Pole Mounted Graphical Display products.

Stalker’s Phodar SE-1 is a sophisticated, compact 4D tracking radar, with a high-resolution camera, video analytics, and a powerful embedded processor for automated traffic enforcement and ticketing.

The unit is powerful enough to track up to 32 vehicles traveling in both directions on a multi-lane roadway, and produces high-quality ‘Smart Evidence’ photos and video. The Phodar meets all requirements for type approval in the EU Zone, and is packaged with Stalker’s CiTE (Camera Issued Ticket Enforcement) system, a user-friendly program that uses the power of the Phodar for efficient violation processing, printing, mailing and payment collection. The SE-1 can be operated remotely through its Web Device Control firmware and any internet-connected browser.

The updated LidarCam II has many new features including the largest touchscreen display, superior low-light sensitivity and native language support, and includes the company’s Evidence Viewer back-end software. Built-in Bluetooth, effortless wireless evidence off-loads, and a long-life Li-Ion battery add convenience and efficiency to the proven Stalker lidar platform, offering a convenient and simple to operate all-in-one system.

The Radar Pole Mounted Graphical Display (PMG) is a fully-functional dot matrix, module-driven, communications center. The PMG is a portable, modular text and scrolling graphics display system, and its functions are customizable for multiple applications.

Options include traffic statistics capture, theft tracking systems, and wi-fi and Bluetooth for remote programming, with lightning detection and emergency alerts (EAS) also available for integration.

There is an optional IR (infrared) camera module option to capture video clips and images of vehicles, and a simulated camera flash module where an all-white ‘flash’ slows traffic as motorists believe they have been photographed. ALPR (automatic licenses plate recognition) is available with the camera and an Ethernet connection.

The PMG is easy to operate, features software that can be updated remotely and has enough internal storage memory to collect and retain data for months in heavy traffic. The PMG is available in 12in, 15in and 18in inches (30, 38 and 46cm) character height. All models can be ordered with white or red and blue violation strobes, and all have five power options.
