ITS World Congress 2025 concluded a successful event last week at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, attracting nearly 6,000 attendees from 61 countries, regions, and territories who presented diverse perspectives on the future of transportation.
In collaboration with ITS America, ITS Asia-Pacific, and ERTICO – ITS Europe, and produced by RX, the four-day event showcased the theme “Deploying Today, Empowering Tomorrow,” focusing on how innovation is reshaping transportation systems for enhanced safety and efficiency.
The program kicked off with an opening ceremony that highlighted Atlanta’s commitment to deploying technology for safer and more efficient mobility. Plenary sessions provided insights from global leaders on creating a safer future with connected technologies, realizing growth through secure ITS, and building resilient systems with AI.

“This year’s theme highlights that innovation in transportation isn’t abstract – it delivers the essentials that keep our country moving: smart signals that prevent crashes, buses that arrive on time, and goods that reach your door faster,” says Laura Chace, president and CEO, ITS America. “And with sustained investment, these tools can power even greater breakthroughs like zero roadway deaths, fully accessible networks, and seamless goods movement. At ITS America, that is what we champion: technology that meets mobility needs today and redefines what’s possible tomorrow, because smart innovation saves lives, time, and money.”

The technologies showcased at ITS World Congress 2025 will be pivotal in saving lives, strengthening transportation systems, and improving mobility and access. The event featured a diverse array of sessions, and attendees enjoyed learning from global colleagues about their experiences with existing and emerging digital solutions and how they are transforming infrastructure and the broader transportation system.

“The sheer number of presentations and demonstrations this year truly showcased the depth and breadth of innovation in intelligent transportation,” adds Jaime McAuley, ITS World Congress event director at RX. “The collaboration and knowledge-sharing at this event are crucial for advancing our industry and setting new standards for the future.”
