MuHu Inc., a pioneer of smartphone-based video intelligence technologies for the transportation industry, has announced the open availability of its application programming interface (API), providing partners, integrators, and independent software developers with a way to design, test, and deliver applications that work on top of the company’s video platform.
In February, California-based MuHu, the first mobile app and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) to deliver dual live streaming, on-demand video, and unsafe driving alerts directly to the cloud. The MuHu driver app captures up to 4K resolution video on dashboard-mounted Android devices, adds GPS data, and then streams the dual feeds to the cloud-based live fleet management portal. The MuHu ecosystem features: an open video platform as a service (VPaaS); intelligent video analytics, powered by deep learning and big data; and a self-healing mobile app.
The key benefits of the MuHu API include:
Enabling Android mobile apps to make use of video streaming and GPS data;
Harnessing local smartphone and tablet sensors to trigger events commonly found in proprietary OBD-II/J1939 hardware;
