MnDOT’s innovative sensor-based warning system


Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has introduced a number of safety improvements to its Highway 12. First and foremost among them is a driver warning system that relies on sensors to initiate Variable Messaging Signs (VMS) to alert drivers of dangerous road surfaces.  Watch the video to learn more.
