Sprinx Technologies has announced that its Automatic Incident Detection (AID) and Traffic Data Collection solution is now able to run on all Hanwha Techwin’s Wisenet X range of traffic and surveillance cameras.
Sprinx is an Italian software development and engineering company, focused on designing and providing intelligent video surveillance systems for the traffic and transportation industry.
The company’s AID systems use intelligent image processing to quickly alert operators about traffic incidents and queuing, and at the same time enable statistical data, such as vehicle classification, counting and flow, to be recorded.
An Origin-Destination Matrix (OD) feature highlights traffic conditions at busy city center crossroads and roundabouts with simultaneous monitoring of different lanes. It can also detect wrong-way drivers and smoke in tunnels, giving agencies the ability to monitor incidents and keep traffic on the move
Hanwha Techwin’s (formerly Samsung Techwin) Wisenet X range of cameras are equipped with H.265 compression and an all-new architecture chipset, which enables them to deliver video processing twice as fast as would normally be expected from high definition cameras, complete with three times more memory to handle enhanced on-board video and audio analytics.
The Wisenet X series features 150dB WDR that uses four frames to create a more natural image without blurring, and outstanding lens technology that enables vivid color images to be captured in low-light environments without infrared LED illumination. XNB-8000 and XNB-6000 models are also equipped with gyro sensors that provide more accurate stabilization to combat wind and vibrations. The 2MP and 5MP models are at the heart of Hanwha’s camera range, and are able to provide cost-effective, high-performance options for virtually any video surveillance projects, including critical infrastructure applications.
