Netradyne Inc, a leader in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, has been named a Business Intelligence Group ‘2017 BIG Innovation Award’ winner for its Driveri camera-based commercial vehicle telematics system.
The Business Intelligence Group’s Innovation Awards recognize cross-industry organizations and people who bring new ideas to life, leading to superior performance in the business world. BIG’s industry award programs are judged by a selected panel of business expert and executives. Netradyne’s Driveri vision-based safety platform was recognized by the organization for bringing new ideas to life in a way that changes the world.
Founded in 2015, Netradyne has technology innovation centers in both San Diego, California, and Bangalore, India, where teams are focused on the use of AI in commercial vehicle safety tools and driver analytics systems. Driveri is a driver safety platform for commercial vehicles that applies AI technologies for improving fleet safety, by delivering a holistic view of the driving environment to fleet owners, while serving as their driver’s advocate.
Netradyne’s Driveri platform is a Quad-HD camera, vision-based safety system designed for commercial vehicles that uses AI to capture and analyze every minute of the driving day, providing fleets with faster insights on driver behavior, positive performance, and at-risk events. Driveri is considered an innovator in the commercial vehicle safety category for its unparalleled ‘edge computing’ processing capability provided by an integrated TeraFLOP processor.
The processor is capable of one trillion calculations per second and analyzes multiple factors on the road, including pedestrians, road signs, speed limits, following distance, traffic lights, and hard-braking events, among others. Automated updates are sent to fleet managers as they occur, using a high data bandwidth, low latency 4G LTE module, to ensure their fleet is performing safely, and the timeliness of the data allows the fleet to apply resources reducing delay, as well as their effort to recognize and improve driver performance, helping to save money and lives.
“To be recognized as a BIG Innovation Award recipient speaks to our company’s belief that we are a game-changer in commercial vehicle safety,” said Sandeep Pandya, Netradyne’s president. “This organization recognizes innovation at the highest levels, and to have our Driveri platform mentioned alongside so many other creative and impressive companies is one of our proudest achievements to date. We’re thrilled by the recognition and will continue to look for more ways to showcase our device’s unique and impactful capabilities.”
Maria Jimenez, chief operating officer of the Business Intelligence Group, commented, “The sheer amount of innovation is accelerating in virtually every industry, as new technology allows corporations and other organizations to rethink how they approach and solve real problems that affect the way we work, love, and play. We are thrilled to be honoring all winners and finalists, as these are the organizations and people who are leading by example, and making real progress on improving the daily lives of so many.”
