GTT appoints MTA's Rick Krueger

Global Traffic Technologies (GTT) has appointed the former Minnesota Transportation Alliance director Rick Krueger as senior government affairs manager.

Krueger will be based in the company’s St. Paul, Minnesota headquarters, where he will be responsible for identifying sources of public funding and developing grant-writing strategies for GTT’s customers in transit, emergency services and traffic management agencies. He will identify public funding sources, build political coalitions and help customers drive projects to implementation. He will also work with GTT systems consultants to assist customers with political appropriations processes and developing project advocacy among public officials.

Krueger was previously executive director of the Minnesota Transportation Alliance (MTA), a state lobby that helped to persuade the Minnesota Legislature to pass a US$6.6 billion transport funding package earlier this year. His career has included executive positions with the Minnesota High Tech Association - and six terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

“His government, business and transportation backgrounds make Mr Krueger a valuable member of our team,” says GTT president Rick Sachse. “His role reflects GTT’s commitment to providing customers with the resources to obtain public support and funding for emergency vehicle preemption, transit signal priority and traffic sensing technologies.”
