Last chance to register for Melbourne's Australian ITS Summit

The Australian Intelligent Transport Systems Summit 2009 (ITS 09) – being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), November 18-20, 2009 – is all set to showcase the latest in transport technology in Australia, together with new innovations from around the world. In addition to the Summit being a great opportunity to learn from leading experts and discover new ideas, the program will also provide delegates the unique opportunity to be part of discussions and decision-making to take ITS for Australia into the next generation.

The highly respected speaker line-up includes former Port Authority of New York & New Jersey veteran Michael Eadicicco, who will focus on improving security and emergency planning, the UK Department for Transport’s Jeremy Evans detailing how to improve road network management, and Neil Frost from SAHA International talking about ways to improve public transport operations.

Jamie Houghton is the global leader for Intelligent Transport Systems at IBM and will be looking at ways to provide better travel and traveler information, while Gary Liddle (once the manager of the Austroads Technology Program) will detail Australia’s ITS capability in road safety and network management. Michael Noblett from Connexis will focus on ways to improve road and rail safety.
