SRA International, Inc, a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations and commercial clients, has been awarded a task order by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the EAGLE contract vehicle to monitor its information technology (IT) enterprise and assess IT security threats. The task order value is over US$53 million, if all options are exercised, and will provide core primary and failover security operations center (SOC) services for up to five years.
TSA is responsible for security of the USA’s transportation systems involving cooperation with state, local and regional partners. To maintain the highest levels of security, TSA requires a partner to monitor its IT enterprise by detecting, analyzing and coordinating the response to cyber attacks. SRA will provide a fully outsourced SOC solution that leverages robust physical and technology platforms with proven SOC operations best practices.
“The SOC’s mission is of national importance and the SRA team will partner with TSA to ensure its IT environment remains a secure enabler for transportation security,” says Pat Burke, SRA senior vice president, National Security Sector. “The SRA approach allows TSA to shift focus from reactive incident response to proactive attack prevention, and provides a reliable, scalable service that can easily adapt to changes in TSA’s IT environment.”
SRA’s managed service solution provides coverage 24 hours a day ensuring there is no disruption to cyber security monitoring and incident response services. SRA also will assess vulnerabilities and emerging IT security threats and will evaluate IT solutions prior to their deployment in the TSA IT environment.
SRA’s team includes three partners – InScope Solutions, SE Solutions and Verizon Business.
